Catching up

Obviously I have not kept up with my blogging! And I just realized that I didn't chronicle the birth of our newest grandchild. His name is Timothy Cole and he was born on Sept. 23 and he was -- and continues to be -- a pretty solid size baby - 9 lbs. 6 oz. with a head circumference of 15 1/2 inches. The average new baby boy head size is 13+ inches, so he definitely has a Bohemian head, full of lovely brains is my guess! He is a calm boy and will be a charmer, I think. He seems to love to talk already and uses his hands while doing so.

Welcome, little one. I love you.

I think she likes him! A bit "gobsmacked" really...

I am so glad Amy has had a chance to experience this joy -- lots of trials can come with parenthood, but the blessings WAY outweigh them. That is what I truly believe. She and Gary are in Cincinnati and she will work for McDonald's in a mobile office setting at home. It will work out. But it IS 7 1/2 hours away...

And the continuing joys of our lives are Hannah and Stella. We joined them -- Dorothy and a Ladybug -- with their daddy to go trick or treating and it was a good, mild weathered night. Not like a few from their daddy's childhood....sleet, rain and bitter cold on occasion!

We usually have the girls about one Saturday night or so a month and always enjoy the opportunity to love on them. We went to the Pumpkin Patch outside of Janesville and Hannah and Bapa went through the corn maze and Stella and I went for a bit and then ate cookies. Then the next day we went back and went on a wagon ride. It was lots of fun.

Being a grandparent is my favorite thing!!
