OK. Summer is going way too fast. I think, no, I know, that I say that every year. But I do believe they are going faster than ever. I talk with lots of friends my age who feel the same way though. The Concerts on the Square in Madison are over, the gardens are looking a bit "frawzy" (might not be a word!), I hear and see things related to football, it is REALLY warm and humid, and I am off today for my annual vacation with my sister.

We have traveled for 16 years in the summer!! This is the 17th trip. Wow. We have been to Chicago many times (did that in the beginning years - meeting there from Janesville and Louisville, KY), then on to trips with Mom and Amy to California and New Orleans, Cape Cod and Maine, New York AND England. Now we are going to CT to see what that coast looks like. We are flying into Newark, NJ which Amy says it ISN"T a destination!! We are just stopping there and then going on....

When I come back, I have a couple days and then Prep Day at work on Friday, a Reserve Party at our house on the 18th, and then 2 days of In-Service at school. Then the students come back. Sigh. I love my work but I do enjoy summer a lot............
